    HTML Heeeelp!

I downloaded open Office and save my file. I can open it there. But when I choose "save as" then save it in my documents as an HTML file, it isn't there when I try to browse to it to upload it to Amazon. What am I doing wrong? Where is this file going?

When I open up open Office it says it is in my "C" drive but I can't find it there either.

First thing I thought of is that when you're browsing for the new document you might have to make sure that the computer is browsing for the correct file format. In other words, once you hit 'browse' and the dialogue box comes up where you go find your file, make sure it says that it's looking for 'all files'. If it's only looking for certain types and your new file isn't one of those types, it won't show up when you browse.

I haven't done this before so I tried a test document in OO and saved it as an HTML coded document. I noticed that it asked whether you want to keep the current format or whether to save it in Open Office (.odt I think) format. I picked the .odt format and it saved fine where I wanted it.

Did you choose this or did you choose to keep your original format? If you keep having problems you might want to try saving it again.

I just tried this with oo3.2. It saved the html (in the same directory as the orig, I didn't try changing it) no problem. Nothing hinky or unexpected. Usually, if it was me, I'd suspect operator error of some sort, like mistaking the target directory, but if it's persistent there could possibly be a glitch in your particular OO installation, which might correct with reinstallation. (Nice plain simple html BTW, way better'n MSWord.)

Thanks, but I finally figured it out, you have to export it as a PDF file. All of the fields are green now and my billing information as well as pay info has been set up. The cover design is complete and as soon as they get through reviewing it, it will be visible. The cover looks very good I think.
