Recently I have been experimenting with stories that take place in a counseling session and am wondering if anybody has an example of such. My biggest problem is repetitively stopping to mention note taking. Any suggestions?

I'd just change the font whenver it comes out of the story to take notes:
The sky was falling. Yadayada
Ah, I see you have a fear of falling skies.
I had a tree fall on me.
You're afraid of nature I see.
I have been and still am in psych counseling. Notes are not taken at any time during the session.
Well, not using notes would certainly free up some writing space and flow. Since you have the experience, mockingbird may I ask what goes on in a counseling session. I guess I'm being stereotypical with the idea of pad and paper for note taking
the counselor could be recording. Alternatively, you don't have to keep reminding the reader of the writing if they know it's happening. You could start with a mention of a few notes, later mention flipping a page. Although, Mockingbird's comment is probably the best suggestion, being from firsthand experience.
Thanks for the advice everybody.
