Thread: Need help brainstorming for my book

Im writing a book about world wide domination with the premise that somone has the possibility to beam anything they want to into the minds of the whole planet. Im looking for ideas on what you could do with this power such as brainwashing the public, marketing massive corporate empires, influencing politics, spreading religious ideals, destroying the planet, or creating a great social utopian world, or any other crazy thing. I was wondering what you thought would be cool do if you could shape the mindstate of the world.

Well, Robotamadeus, all that has already been done to the entire population. Every time you watch an ad on TV you are being washed and coerced. Baby nappie ads have subliminal messaging coercing women to have children hence the population boom and proliferation of single mothers. We don't get to choose anything, everything is mapped out - how we live our lives, what we wear, what's cool in cinemas. Just think back 20 years ago there was little or no reality Tv now we're flooded with that garbage. Seriously though, or not how about a method of implanting messages whilst we sleep. You could have a paranoid delusional protagonist who refuses sleep, but must eventually succumb to the insidious washing.
