Official Warning: According to the Terry Pratchett method of assessing sanity (more than five exclamation points), this poster is certifiably insane. The ellipses before the final exclamation point are particularly disturbing. We have this van under surveillance.

I need to get back to my teen vampire novel!
I left my angst filled heroine doubleswooning in the frozen pine woods of the American northwest, dangerously wounded, with two beautiful young teen vampire guys squared off against each other, one determined to feed on her, the other to go steady with her.
Do not think it a kindness.
I have been watching a cable series called "True blood". The premise of the series is that Vampires have come out and are now drinking manufactured blood and trying to fit into modern society. The story is set in the Southern part of the United States and to be honest with you it is funny and interesting, but that is because it doesn't take itself serious. There are undercurrents of racism, once against minorities, now directed at the vampires. The series itself is based on a set of 7 books called: he Sookie Stackhouse Novels
When I see the saturation of work about vampires and werewolves I roll my eyes. It is a bandwagon everyone has jumped on. This will eventually die down and Robots with genitalia will once again become the number one selling genre. Until then I think I'll add those three words to my web site meta tags.
Thanks froman. When the royalty money starts rolling in, I'll send the first $19.99 installment.

I've been watching the new series Being Human, which is, you guessed it, Vampires, Werewolves and with a Ghost thrown in the mix.

For the uninitiated, is it possible to have a ghost of a vampire?

The sand of the desert is sodden red, -
Red with the wreck of a square that broke; -
The Gatling's jammed and the colonel dead,
And the regiment blind with dust and smoke.
The river of death has brimmed his banks,
And England's far, and Honour a name,
But the voice of schoolboy rallies the ranks,
"Play up! play up! and play the game!"

I think the rise of vampirism in our culture is directly related to everyone believing they are an emperor and that other people are only useful in as much as they can be fed upon. It's the monstrous result of telling every kid in juvie and special ed that they're a winner and would have no more problems if only they could add more self esteem to their already bloated anti-social narcissism.
I have no idea where all that came from, but I feel a lot better having expressed it.
Thank you.

When I was younger we used to play a game making up headlines, one I particularly remember was "Sex change vicar in palace mercy dash", That goes sex, kinky, royalty, heart tug, urgency. It has just about everything.

Okay, okay. I've taken some advice from the posters, and I've had a few beers to lubricate the creative engine. (note: none of the contributing members will be reimbursed for their respective input. Patents are pending all around.)
