Ugh...had a Homer moment a couple days ago and realized two of my subplots were clogging the story. Problem is, it's a trilogy so I had to go back to book two to start revisions. After reviewing everything I realized that to fix/delete this issue I had to:
  • Delete three secondary characters
  • Merge some of the conflict from them to two remaining characters
  • Move one person from one ship to another in book 2
  • Revise the storyline to fit this move in book 2 and 3
  • Move another character's entrance further to the end of the book 2 and increase his role in book 3
  • ...and hold back the urge to print and burn the manuscript in a big bonfire...
Argh!!!
