Hi, my name is Danial, I'm from the Netherlands and want to go to LA. Does anyone know how it works for foreign writers to get work as an tv writer? especially with all the visa issues etc.

This is my thought, having been to L.A. a good number of times, or, should I say, through L.A, mostly. I try to go through late at night, when the traffic dies down. The city is huge! Huge like it took us two hours just to get in to the city from the outskirts last time we went. Get a travel visa and go visit. Have a plan B, in case you must flee, but stay as long as you can bear it. Take a look around and see if you can get someone to look at your work. I know nothing about that. I think you have to have some incredible driving ambition to take on the competition in L.A. And you'd have to really like cities and driving with honkers. I'm not a good person to ask, come to think of it as I cringe each time I must pass through. Took us for frickin ever to get out too. I'm a country girl though. Don't mind so much my ranting. I know there are peeps that love this kind of thing.
Hey, and don't let me discourage your dream of writing shows. That part sounds good. I wish you well in your venture.
