Thread: Looking for people to R&R

If anybody is interested in critiquing a short part of a novel/story I am writing, please PM me. I would love some feedback on how I should improve it. I do not want to post it up here as a thread, because I want to get it published.

Also, I am not afraid of criticism. Good or bad. I only want to improve my writing and make it into the best it can be. So, if you are interested please do not be afraid to give me all you've got. I can take it. If I couldn't I wouldn't share it or even care to try and publish it.

The Writers' Workshop is designed just for that purpose. It can't be picked up by search engines and it's accessible to registered members only.

However, anybody can join and I do not want to risk a publisher seeing it and reject it because it has already been published for the viewers. A PM or an email is safe and designed for that kind of thing.

Otherwise I would have already posted it up there. :/

Published writers use the workshop. That's what it's there for. We don't encourage people to critique off site. It's part of a learning process for everyone.

The odds of a publisher coming here, taking the time out of his/her incredibly busy schedule to join a forum they will probably never use, and seeing your work to reject it is about the same as the odds of you getting struck by lightning when you walk outside today.

And, as Baron said, the whole purpose of the forum is provide critiques here.

I agree with you and disagree with the others. I won't post anything anywhere on the web, even in a forum or a password protected site. It may be just a bias, I don't know. Maybe I'll take a look at what people have said in their critique.
