What part do I read at an elem. school book reading

(I apologize in advance if I posted this question in the wrong place.)

So I finished with my first Juvenile fiction novel (similar to the 3 investigators series).
It has due to be released in late October and I am already in the process of lining up some "book readings" at local elementary schools for 4th-6th graders.
The problem is I have no clue what I should read. My novel is a mystery about 220 pages long. Do I just start at the beginning and start reading for 15 minutes? Do I pick a particularly juicy part to read and fill them in on what happened prior in the book?
I feel like I do not want to give away any of the "gotcha" moments unnecessarily.
I know you have not read my book to give a better answer, but in general what would I read from that genre to that age group?
    Thanks!

You could read up to, but not beyond your favourite cliffhanger. Then hopefully the kids will want to know what happens and will bug their parents to buy the book Also, 15 minutes seems like a very long time to hold the attention of 9 year olds. I'd think 5 minutes would be more than enough, if they're anything like the 4th graders I know.

Yeah, I am not exactly sure what they (the school) wants me to do. Talk about being an author? Read for "a while"? Sing? Dance? I guess that will give me better direction. I just have never been to a book reading before so I have no clue what an author does at a book reading.

Can you make balloon animals? I remember an author visiting our primary school made up a story with the class. Like 'name an object' sort of stuff. However that's all I remember about that author, not her name or her books. Not the best idea if you want to sell, sell, sell

I suggest that you read as little as possible, perhaps just a few interesting pages that work well on their own, perhaps the beginning. After that discuss the characters or events with the children. Letting them participate in the story captures their attention. After that perhaps read a little bit further and then wrap it up for the day. 5-10 minutes reading, talk to the kids, and then another 2-5 minutes reading so they stop bugging you for more info then RUN before they come up with new questions!

That's how I would handle it anyway.
