I lurk in the shadows. I have watched for centuries and listened to the words of many.
Just type "(enter your search query here)", with or without the "" marks, into whatever search engine you use (Google, etc), and let 'er rip.
What Ox said. You research for a story the same way you research for anything else, really.
Step one, Wikipedia. Step 2, the library.
