    Advice please. :)

I've recently started writing my first book. I started out writing a book about vampires, but then, I watched a movie called The Legend of Lucy Keyes, and I started to research the actual legend and I got to thinking that it might be a good idea to base a book around the folk lore surrounding her legend from her point of view.

Can this be done? Since it is in fact an actual legend? Mind you my book will be set during her time in 1755, during the days leading up, and after her death.

Any advice appreciated. This will be my first novel. The only other writings I've done are fan fics.

    I'd say forget it...
    difficult, controversial, and done.
others may say differently. but I would shape your own world if you go vampire.

Do you think it would be easier just to stick with the vampire novel then?

Why not do both? It's less stressful to have two projects going at once, because when you run into a block on one you can hop over to the other.
