Reaction to 'Finding a voice' thread.

This thread has been predicated by the, 'Finding a voice' thread.
    Literary criticism:
Discourse-- (serious discussion about something between people or groups)--spoken or written--about literature.

IMO if you remove discourse from a critique, (the ability to agree or dispute), you remove its purpose.

    Anyone else have a view?

I am going to answer this and leave the thread here as an explanation for those who are unsure how this is to work.

Critique forums are for giving critiques to the writer of the original post. The writer is assumed to have the capability to take what they need from the critiques offered and leave the rest.

Literary discourse can go in Writing Discussions or even Debate.

If you find in the course of critiquing that you disagree with another critiquer, please take it out of that thread so that the writer doesn't have to sort through a slanging match of opinions.
