Thread: Thriller concept .....

I came up with the concept for a thriller series i want to try and launch. I wanted to sum it up here and get reactions. And a few opinions. So, thank you all in advance. Here goes:

Jaxsen Snow is an full-blooded American Indian (Not sure what tribe). He was a Marine and developed an huge interest in cryptozoology, which he turned into a full-time study and made himself the world's foremost expert on such legendary creatures. The field meets much criticism so his ideas and knowledge are never really taken seriously. During a recon mission, Jaxsen and his brother came upon a legendary creature (not decided which one). A battle ensues and Jaxsen loses his brother. An injury sustained during the battle leaves Jaxsen with a damaged left eye. The color of his eye has changed and he was given the name "Redeye." After the death of his brother, Jaxsen retired from active duty to his Indian Reservation where he acts as a Sheriff.

Yuri Grinkov, a Russian Wealthy Industrialist, "loses" his wife in a fatal car crash. He refuses to believe she is dead and furiously searches for the secret of life to bring her back. He finds the answer he seeks in an old Greek text. It suggests that the mortal Gorgon known as Medusa is the answer. The legends say that blood from the right side of a gorgon brings life. While, conversly, blood from the left is an incurable poison. Grinkov undertakes to find the final resting place of Medusa and gets a trace of her DNA and engineers himself a clone of Medusa. He will use her blood to save his wife and to also make a poison to unleash. He has the power of both life and death in his hands. Of course, this comes with a curse.

Jaxsen is visited by someone who knows he is an expert in the field. He seeks Jaxsen's assistance in leading a new unit to deal wih such threats. Jaxsen isn't initially interested. Until he is shown evidence of what they may be dealing with. Jaxsen leaves the reservation to lead said team (i need a name for this new unit) and they embark on a mission to stop Grinkov.

That is the idea. Any opinions are greatly appreciated. I need a nqme for this new unit that will deal with such special threats. Thanks in advance guys.

One quick question. Why does this Russian industrialist want to unleash a poison in the first place? I do hope this is not a Cold War era writing idea where all Russians make good villains...

I liek the concept. Gamer stuff ya' know. pretty sure i heard this jk.
I like both characters. Protagonist and Proto-antivillain.
However the poison from each side... alter, poison from diferent snakes.. etc.. somehting.
Do a goood job.
