Writing 101 Submissions

Writing 101 is the evolving on-forum resource guide for WF members. With that purpose in mind, anyone wishing to contribute content is encouraged to do so. There are, however, a few guidelines that must be followed for content to be considered for inclusion into the guide.
  • All content must be original. Although many reference pieces exist covering writing related issues, each have their own take on these issues. Of course, there will be some similarities because of the subject, but work submitted must try to achieve the same. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
  • While it would be terrific to have a wealth of information, quality and relevance is a deciding factor for inclusion. All proposed content must be submitted to a member of staff for consideration. All members of staff will view the work and decide as a group if the work is appropriate for adding to Writing 101.
  • Even though pieces included are of a reference nature, care should be taken to keep them from reading like a text book. Try to inject the piece with a lively touch to make it both enjoyable and educational to read.
  • All work will be credited to the person who submitted it. The author will be asked to post and it will be moved to the Writing 101 forum by a member of the staff.
  • Notice of mistakes or suggestions for any piece contained in Writing 101 must be made by either contacting a member of staff or posting them in the Writing 101 Forum thread located in the Suggestion Box.
These guidelines and rules are subject to be changed, modified, and/or added to as needed.
