The Oddville Press - open for business.
Systems are in place, the staff have been freshly greased and fed raw meat, and we're good to go.
Think you're good enough to be published? Think you have what it takes? Head on over to our (temporary, while the web guru irons out the kinks and beautifies) website at The Oddville Press for the submission guidelines.
Good luck.

This may have been asked before, but are Lyrics accepted?
Thanks in advance to any replies.

Lyrics no, poetry yes. Take away the music, what's the difference?

Poetry relies on alot of different rules etc. Lyrics don't, you just grab something that makes a sound, create a rhythm or beat and put words to it.
So, yeah, there's some differences. Thanks for the reply though, and understood.
Tom.

Or not. The Guardian in the UK currently is publishing some of the last century's greatest lyricists and arguing that they are some of the greatest poets of their time. Leonard Cohen, for example, was a poet first and started out reading his poems to music.

Really? I had no idea, I'll take a look at my lyrics and see which one would stand out the most and submit it some time.
Thanks Mike.
