WORLD-CLASS SCREENWRITING WORKSHOP in California

COMBINE A WEEKEND AT THE BEACH
WITH THE SCREENWRITING WORKSHOP OF THE YEAR!

This world-class screenwriting workshop will be held June 7th & 8th in beautiful downtown Huntington Beach, steps from the famous Huntington Beach pier, 3-mile long warm-sand beach and the most amazing assortment of outside dining on the West Coast. This hands-on, ultra-practical workshop will be led by award-winning screenwriter and screenwriting guru Rob Tobin whose own latest script, “Camel Wars,” an Iraq War drama, is in pre-production with John McTiernan (“Die Hard,” “Predator” “Hunt for Red October”) and a $40 million budget. Rob is also the author of two of the best books on screenwriting ever written: “The Screenwriting Formula” and “How to Write High Structure, High Concept Movies,” both available on Amazon.com.

Here is what FOUR-TIME EMMY WINNER Sandy Frank says about Rob Tobin’s “The Screenwriting Formula”:

“I'm an Emmy-winning TV writer who's read hundreds of books about screenwriting and story. Rob Tobin's is simply the best I've ever seen. It's straightforward without being simplistic, and it relates the various elements of story in a way I've never seen before. For example, a lot of books will tell you that the hero has to have a goal and a flaw, but Tobin shows how the two elements have to interact to get a satisfying story. This book should be on every screenwriter's shelf.”

Rob will lead participants through the process of actually creating a detailed synopsis of a brand new screenplay. Participants will thus leave the workshop with not only a complete set of screenwriting skills, techniques and knowledge, but with a detailed blueprint of their next structurally bulletproof screenplay.

Who needs this workshop? Screenwriters, certainly, but also agents, managers, producers, directors, actors, film executives -- anyone whose career depends on being able to recognize and analyze great storytelling. Even novelists and playwrights will benefit greatly from this workshop because teaches storytelling skills that can be applied to any genre and any medium.

FEES DEEPLY DISCOUNTED

Rob normally charges $395 for this two-day workshop, already a great bargain. For this weekend only, however, the workshop is discounted an additional 25%, to $295, AND out of town participants who fly in for the workshop will be given an additional $50 discount! AND, anyone belonging to a specific group (Women in Film, Film Community, Next Cat, et al.) will get an additional $50 discount. Finally, anyone registering before May 15 will be given another $25 discount. Seating is limited, for early bird discount, please hurry.

THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO MOVE YOUR WRITING AND/OR FILM CAREER A QUANTUM LEAP FORWARD!

Contact Rob directly at scripts@earthlink.net or 714-717-4289 to register for the workshop and for more details. Rob looks forward to seeing you on June 7th and 8th under the sunny Huntington Beach skies!

This is hilarious! This has to be the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Love the voice! Reminds me of that Hollywood doctor on the Simpsons.
