I still recommend getting your own domain for your primary work, but these free websites can be used as extra exposure or as free backlinks. Thank you. But they are just free hosting site. Probably you may want to take advantage of social networks. Look for example for «Published Authors» or «Book Marketing Network» in Ning.

Yes, I frequent those social networks quite often. They are on my list of writing forums and author social networks. However, if you want to have your own website, then the list above gives you some options.
