Writing To Sell

Writing To Sell by Scott Meredith

I had a friend suggest this book to me, "if you're serious about selling your novel -- you'll buy this book TODAY - that is how serious I am"... bought it that day on eBay (I think I paid a grand total of $9, shipping included, and am about halfway through it...

It was written in 1950, but it's practically timeless, I think. It's not dry like most instructional books, it has made me smile and laugh several times with its examples, and I have found myself really mentally organizing my novel, my plot, my characters, and since I have started to really become aware of the parts of my novel, thanks to this book, I have been bouncing the plot off of people who are really excited to read it and I feel very confident about it. I know that this book will find a place out there somewhere.

Just thought I would recommend since when I searched there weren't many hits on Scott Meredith, so I wanted to point it out. I know some of you write for yourselves and if you sell, that is a bonus, but for folks looking to make a living off of writing, I think this is invaluable.
