Calling All Authors!!
Hello! I am a writer for Associated Content and I am interviewing authors about their books. I was wondering if you would like me to send you my questions for you to answer? It's just another way you can promote your book in a positive way. When it is finished I can send you a link that you can post on your websites to share with others.
Post here!
Have a great weekend!

It applies to published authors and soon-to-be published authors.

Here is a better explanation of what I am offering.
Basically, I am going to write up a bunch of questions for you to answer. All of these questions will have to do with you as an author and your book. IE: (Tell us about your book, When did your start writing, Are you currently working on something new? etc.) If your book has already been released then I can write information on how to go about buying your book. If it going to be released in the near future then you let me know the date you plan on releasing it, and information on where they can go to buy it when it is released. I post links to my articles on myspace, websites, forums, and my local newspapers. I can give you the link to my article so you may post it on your websites, myspace, where ever! So in the long run, your not the only person promoting your book...I will be too!

Unfortunately I am hooked to myspace. I just use it to promote my word and for friends that I went to school with who live far away now.

I can appreciate what you're trying to do, but myspace is a bad place to do it.
Get a proper blog and devote that to author interviews. Myspace is a good place to attract 'friends', but not a great place to blog. Keep the myspace going, and use it to promote the blog, but you'll look less amateur with a slick looking blog, and you'll attract more readers. Try WordPress.com » Get a Free Blog Here
Once you start looking professional, people will treat you as such. I'll even feed you a few published authors to interview.

I only post on myspace to promote my work. I am a content producer for Associated Content. My work is very professional. You can ask anyone who I have interviewed with in the past and present.

No worries, Ashley. I was commenting more on presentation than content - myspace (especially if your page has hearts all over the background) doesn't present your work in a professional way, no matter how good the content may be.
And whilst not wanting to denigrate what you do, AC carries no kudos. Anyone can write for them, you get a byline but no payment, and backlinks are to AC, not to you.
Blogging is likely to get you more recognition and, if you like the idea of your interviews being circulated, check out creative commons licensing. You need to be promoting Ashley Carbone, not a content provider that relies on quantity rather than quality. There's no reason why you can't post your interviews in both places, if you feel the need.
Give it some thought - as I say, I know a number of authors who'd love to give you an interview.
You can read one of mine here if you're interested: IROSF -- An Interview with Michael Moorcock

I don't see what my background has to do with anything. I've heard no complaints from anyone. There are several websites that I promote my work to; not just myspace. And I do get paid by AC. The extra money is helpful, but I mostly do it for fun. I enjoy writing and learning about new people. I'm just getting my foot in the door, and Associated Content is the way I do it.

I would observe that Ashley's formula seems to include people linking to her page... Er, if I've read that right, the backlinks she's being given have value... especially if she gets several dozen or several hundred... some from good sites.
Heck, I can imagine that I'd do something like this if I thought people would really link to one of my sites...
