Short Story Contest, Free Entry!

Hey everyone. My site, Scribophile (Scribophile, the social writing workshop and writer's community) is hosting a writing contest for the month of February. It's free to enter; 1st prize is a $30 gift card to Amazon.com, 2nd prize is a $15 gift card to Amazon.com. Winning works will be displayed and archived at the contest page and possibly around the site (to be determined).

The contest starts on Feb 1 and is accepting works until Feb 29. Winners are announced on March 7 (this date may change, check the official page if you're not sure).

Some handy details:
-We're sick of regular old Valentine's day writing contests. So for this contest, we're adding a twist. Your short story will be a supernatural/ghost/horror story, but featuring elements or themes relating to Valentine's day. Maybe a monster will terrorize the neighborhood by dropping bloody hearts onto people's beds. Maybe the kids at school will pass out cursed Valentine's that fortell your death. Maybe Cupid has a secret dark side. Make it as serious or as silly as you like!

-Your short story must be between 2,000 and 4,000 words, as measured by our site.
-Your short story must PROMINENTLY FEATURE BOTH 1) an element or theme of the supernatural/uncanny, and 2) an element or theme relating to Valentine's day.
-Entries will be judged by the Scribophile staff, taking into consideration the ratings given by Scribophile members. Decisions are final.
-You can only submit one entry.

For the full details, just head to Scribophile, the social writing workshop and writer's community and click on the Monthly Writing Contest link!

Looking forward to reading your work!

Edit: it looks like links are a little tricky to write, so here goes: ww w.scribophile.com
