Lightbulb Hey everyone, I have an offer!

Hey everyone, I'm not 'new' here, but I only have like 10 posts and I haven't been to this site for a loooooong time. So it's like I'm new. *hey everyone!*

So anyways, I'm developing a site called TypeSpeed, which is a free-to-use site for helping improve typing skills. Not only that, but everything is online - you don't need to download anything. The site's almost completely finished, save for a few bugs that need fixing.

However, I'd like your help! Users are able to test their typing speed (this is one of the main things that TypeSpeed has to offer). In order to ensure an accurate measurement of their typing speed, the text they have to copy down needs to be new to them. If they take the test more than a few times, there has to be many texts.

So here's my offer. If you provide 10 blocks of text or more (texts must be at least 50 words long and at most 150), you will get a link presented on the homepage of TypeSpeed that will lead to an appropriate site of your choice. This could be a way to gain more readers!

Note: You must write the texts yourself.

You can write texts of any difficulty.

The easiest, 'Very Easy' is for those just learning to type. Words should not be too long. For example:

John throws the ball. Sam runs after the ball. The ball is very small and very fast. Sam is very fast too, but Sam cannot run fast like the ball. The ball slows down and Sam gets the ball. Sam throws the ball to John. Now it is time for John to run after the ball.

The most difficult, Expert, should include at least a few words that are not commonly used. Numbers may also be found in more difficult texts.

Also, generally, the more difficult texts should be longer than easier texts.

If you want your 10 blocks of text to get you a link, then you must do 3 things:

1. Write the texts. Texts must be appropriate - they may contain no coarse language, or other offensive material. I won't bother listing every single inappropriate thing I can think of - you can imagine them yourselves.
2. Rate their difficulty (on a scale of 0-4, 0 being infant-level easy, 4 being hardcore difficult)
3. Provide a link to your website so that it's content can be judged (quality doesn't matter, just whether or not it's appropriate)

You must post the texts and the link in this thread

Can't wait to get your responses!

It seems like a very worthwhile project. I would be happy to help out. I could write 10 blocks of text for your typing site. My typing is rather slow so it might take me a while!

I wonder if my website is appropriate!

lol

Also, I added 3 steps that you must follow to the first post in this thread. Please follow this if you'd like your texts to be considered.

For counting the number of words in your writing, here's a handy tool: Word Count Tool

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks for the vote of confidence! LOL

Good Luck with your project I'm sure you will find enough adequate material. It would probably be quicker to write the blocks of text yourself, by the time you have scrutinised it, edited it, formatted it etc.
