Thumbs up Talk about Issue 2 - freebie + contest!

Not logged into GUD Magazine lately? There's a freebie sitting in your account from Issue 2. Check it out, then check out this contest.

The contest is simple, I hope. Go to your account page and download your randomly selected free Single PDF from Issue 2 (any poem or story was fair game for the selection). Read it, and then make a public post about it somewhere--love it, hate it, or just mention that it recalls to you a childhood memory of lilacs. Whichwhatever.

We'd appreciate if you linked back to GUD or to the piece, but it's not required.

Then leave a comment on the original blogpost letting us know what you got and where you put your post so we can check it out.

The prize? Right, there's always a prize. The prize (for the randomly selected winner) is your choice of a $20 gift certificate at Amazon.com or a complete set of GUD-to-date (print + PDF) for yourself or a friend (that's Issues 0 through 2).

Deadline: by the end of January 2008, US Pacific time. That gives you just shy of two weeks - Jan 31, 11:59p.

Contest is open to people of all countries, presuming it's legal where you are. No purchase necessary to enter, obviously.

If you want in on the contest but didn't have an account when it was launched, don't worry! Join now, and a freebie will be waiting in your newly created account.

Oh, cool. Thanks I wasn't sure it would be polite to post in this section. Though now that I read the full description of it, I feel kind of silly. "Links to and discussion of writing related sites and handy resources, including but not limited to publishers, on and offline magazines, contests and guides.". Thanks again.
