MIG17 is on a distinguished road
Artist looking for a writer-

Hey all- new here. I've had this idea to write a book for several years about what I do, even started it a few times, but "a mans got to know his limitations". My name is Steve and I've been doing "nose arts" on B-1B Lancer bombers for about 13 years and have painted 42 jets. The book that i want to publish would not deal with the history, or some such that has been written a few times before, but with the stories of WHY the particular art was chosen for the jet. Also, the politics, the process that the art has to go through to get approved. My background is USAF aircraft maintenance, so I am also an insider, and won't be speculating on how things work.

I want to call the book "Painted Bones" or "Bones" or ...

Heres an example of the work- A little story about this is, the crew chiefs name was Dave Justice. He really didnt care about what kind of art, as long as his name was painted HUGE on the side of his jet

I completed "Dead Reckoning" this summer. One of the maintenance guys drew it up, I drew it better and painted it on the jet. My trademark is "hidden art" in the paintings, and this one has "Marvin the Martian", ("I'm Going To Blow Up The Earth!") a little gallows humor.

I have stories for pretty much all 42 jets that I've painted, and I think that there might be an interest out there for this kind of book.

I also want to devote chapters to design, and step by step. (I have 2 nose arts photographed in progress) I also have alot of the original sketches that I get to work with, some, (most), are TERRIBLE hahaha

Let me know-

Thanks in advance
