Thumbs up New Writers & Artists Community/Ezine

.:The Romantic Underground:.
.:The Romantic Underground:.
Inspiration. Integrity. In harmony.

The Romantic Underground is a brand new website, community, and magazine for writers and artists of all sorts. It is founded on three very simple principles:

* Creativity – We believe that these days, writers and artists are criticised for being creative, descriptive and evocative instead of following the stark, commercial ideals of the modern world. We hope that by founding the Romantic Underground, we can do something to redress the balance, proving that you don't have to be postmodern to be artistic.

* Community – All too often, writers and artists find themselves in competition with one another. We don't think that this is the way it should be, and have sought to create a community that both fosters a sense of support and society, and the creation of experimental, collaborative pieces.

* Excellence – Finally, we seek to better our work, and ourselves as artists, and have done our best to create an atmosphere where people are encouraged – and not bullied – into achieving the very highest standards that they can for themselves.

On the back of these three simple points, we have founded a website that boasts an immersing message board that seeks to foster a supportive, encouraging, creative and collaborative atmosphere for writers, poets, musicians, performers and artists of all sorts. We have also developed The Abbey, a quarterly ezine and annual print magazine, showcasing the very best work that the community and the wider artistic community has to offer. The ezine is delivered by email to our list of subscribers, and made available free of charge to read online, while the print magazine will be made available for a small fee that will cover the costs of printing, and supports a fund for the development of projects promoting the arts in both the online and offline communities.

Currently, the Romantic Underground is accepting submissions for the first issue of The Abbey which is titled Walpurgis and due out, as the name would suggest, on the 1st May 2008.

To submit your work to the Romantic Underground, subscribe to The Abbey, or to join our growing online community, please visit us at .:The Romantic Underground:. , we'd love to see you there!

anyone joined this as yet? There are various ways to market your blog

Earning from your website or blog is feasible if you get traffic there. And just not any traffic but correct target traffic.

Once you get a good set of visitors to your site then it is necessary that they repeatedly visit you.

So we have two factors here. One is getting the traffic. The other is retaining them to visit again.

  • First and foremost part in any web site / blog is the content. If the content is not authentic and written interestingly then you will loose whatever traffic you may have gained. Content is a must. It a key facto in creating and maintaining 'healthy' traffic.
  • Next is freshness. There has to be new content practically every alternate day to be fed into your site. It is mandatory that you 'feed' your site.
  • Third part is to go on google and hunt for search engine submissions. Definitely submit to the biggies. Also submit to lesser known sites too.
to know more please visist: Where to put your money

Hah! Answer shameless advertising with... more shameless advertising. How very post-modern.
