Meh. It's a damn word processor. If you're serious about getting *real* work, you have to realize that no one really gives a rip what it looks like after it comes out of your printer--because if you get real work, someone else will do the printing.
Let's face it, folks: manuscript format is ass-tardedly simple. If you can't manage to do that on every word processor in existence, you're up shit creek without a paddle.
That said, after spending half an hour setting up a screenplay template in Word, I opened an e-mail from a friend containing the program found here.

I kinda liked it.
The number one (nearly valid) argument I hear against Microsoft Word is the fact that it doesn't actually give you what you see on the screen. But that's not even valid anymore; sure, WordPerfect (different software, by the way) used to have better printer drivers, but if you're on Windows it's only the Windows printer drivers that actually count--so you can blame your printer manufacturer for that.
(I'm talking about little things like the fact that a 1" margin on screen is by no means guaranteed to be 1" on paper.)
Yeah, throw bricks because I use Microsoft's products and don't whine like a bitch. I also run OO Writer, GIMP, Apache, PHP, WordPerfect, and Mozilla Firefox on this machine.
I love this quote from the LyX website: "LyX is designed for scientists by scientists, and it shows..." Yeah. Just what I need. I haven't had a math class since my junior year of high school.
