Calling All Writers & Artists! Submit to Robot Communism!
||robot|| COMMUNISM is a brand new monthly online literary magazine dedicated to the publication of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Mostly, we're trying to focus on works that are concerned with futuristic/dystopian/post-apocalyptic topics; however, if you would like to submit something that does not fit into one of those categories feel free to do so -- and if it shows promise, there's no denying you.
On that note, if you would like to submit a piece, please e-mail it to robotcommunism@yahoo.com. Make sure to indicate exactly what you're sending us (fiction, nonfiction, poetry, digital art, etc.) in the subject of the e-mail. If you are submitting a written piece, please paste it in the body of the e-mail in the format you want it to appear on our site. ||robot|| COMMUNISM suggests you write/edit your work in a word processing program before doing so. [||robot|| COMMUNISM is not responsible for editing your work. Make sure to make as many revisions as you deem necessary before you submit.] We are currently accepting fiction up to 2,000 words and up to five poetry submissions, musical reviews, fan fiction, criticisms, political commentary, and various forms of visual art. If you're submitting digital art, please make sure it is either a .jpg or .gif for your comfort and our own. Unlike written submissions, you may send your image(s) as an attachment. Also, no matter what you decide to submit, make sure to include your name, a short bio, and an e-mail address you check frequently.
Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but please make sure to let us know if your work is accepted by another magazine. Due to our current lack of submissions, we'll most likely get back to you within four or five days. And make sure to tell your friends about ||robot|| COMMUNISM!
By the way, if you submit something to ||robot|| COMMUNISM and we decide to put it on our site you reserve all rights to your work. But it would be very nice of you to give us some credit! The official site goes by the domain name: www.robotcommunism.com; however, it is not going to be up and running until the debut of our first issue for August 2006.
Thanks for reading, and we hope to be reading some of your works soon.

Doubtful. Even if they paid, I wouldn't submit my work to an online magazine titled "Robot Communism"....

Hard to say if they pay (doubtful, for an e-zine) when their website isn't up.
Why promote something that isn't there yet?

That's where they lost their credibility. And to boot, they're using a yahoo email. C'mon now...

No, no ... it's not "Robot Communism" it's "||robot|| COMMUNISM". I for one think it would look great as a publishing credit. Just imagine the look on an editor's face when they read your cover letter. Admittedly this zine doesn't have nearly as good of a name as Bust Down the Door and Eat All the Chickens, but it's better than most.

You may find you're in the minority on that score. Pub credits are judged on reputation, not on name. And that has to be earned.
But good luck with it all the same - let us know when the website's fixed.

Yes, I thought that most likely as well. I just wanted to give the OP a chance to clarify.

Looks like it ... and yeah, I was being sarcastic. Guess my humour is a little *too* dry at times.

I apologize, but I do intend on returning. My url is: http://clix.to/robotcommunism
I'm actually not advocating communism at all, so try no to be turned off by the name. I've been extremely busy with trying to get out there, and not finding enough ways to do so on my budget. On that note, unfortunately, I'm not paying right now, though I hope to one day do so.
Again, I apologize for the delayed response. It's taking slightly more work than I anticipated. I do own a regular domain [robotcommunism.com] but I'm having difficulties transfering at the moment; hence, the yahoo e-mail address.

Please stop spamming our boards with your advertisements. It's a huge turn-off.

I apologize. I didn't think they would be up as long as they have been. I wasn't going to continue.

Y'know what they say: Don't judge a book (lit mag) by it's cover (or title)! I'd be honored to be published in "Giant Robot", and while I can't think of anything with "communism" in the title, I think you get my point. (signed, the blind defender of the oddly named...)
