WHAT: NATPE NEXTGEN TV FESTIVAL & COMPETITION

MISSION:
The NextGen TV Festival and Competition mission is to
find and showcase emerging talent to traditional and
emerging media development executives. And we're
celebrating the most innovative multiplatform content
among established media companies.
Submissions are in the form of short videos between
one and six minutes and will be accepted in the
following categories:
- Animation
- Documentary
- Comedy
- Drama
- Lifestyle
- Personal POV/ Vlog

now, THAT's a contest!... for the un-in-crowd, this is the "natl'l ass'n of TV program executives"... they're the folks who decide what gets to be seen on the tube next and what doesn't... well worth the entrance fee, if there is one...

down side is that it's for taped shorts, not written scripts...

Deadline's coming up soon enough that one would need something in the can already too. Still, one can dwell in fantasy.

Does 'Short Video' have to be a story exerpt, or can it be a script pitch, perhaps with a storyboard?

it's best to check the submission guidelines, russell... but i'm pretty sure if they say 'short video' they won't be accepting any peripheral material, such as storyboards... and, remember, these are tv execs looking for talent for their own industry, not hollywood film producers looking for feature film scripts...
