Dear Authors,

I am currently seeking authors of fiction for a new publishing service. Specific genres include romance writers and writers of love stories, science fiction writers, murder mystery writers, writers of teen dramas, poets, and short story writers.

Unpublished authors are encouraged to submit their work for review.

There are no fees associated with this service. This is not a self publishing service but rather a new publisher that will employ state of the art marketing and distribution methods. There will be no advances paid, therefore we prefer to review work already completed. If you are interested in submitting your work for review, please email me at Heidi@marketmurmurs.com.

This is a legitimate opportunity. The company is in start-up phase, as are most of my clients, and I am not allowed to disclose the eventual name of the company. I can, however, provide some more details below,

I see why you didn't give a URL. There doesn't appear to be a publishing company, and you have no publishing experience. Nor does your brother, the artist, or Ryan, the research assistant.

You're a marketing firm - nothing more; and, as you're using a freebie website on a basic template, possibly not even a good one. Your 'portfolio' is meaningless as it gives no referees or client list.

I'd suggest that possibly you're just another bunch looking for a potential bandwagon.

I think if you're looking for a small press publisher then go for one you know, and who's proven she's willing to put her money where her mouth is... www.nfpublishing.com

Unless Heidi wants to come back and respond to some questions I have, I would suggest you're better off submitting your manuscript to the fire than to her.

Like Mike mentioned, everyone is always welcome to submit to NF Publishing. I can't promise that your work will be published, as we have to be selective, but we offer a fair chance to all new authors. We guarantee that your work gets read, and when we don't like it, we'll tell you why - and how you can improve on it.

Firewriter, you should never send your work to anyone without first checking them out. Sadly, there are as many people out there wanting to steal from you as there are reputable people.
