The Grub Street Grackle--new literary magazine

The Grackle is my contribution to the throng of independent voices aiming to make room for living culture in a world where taste is increasingly dictated by mass media. If that interests you, take a look at the website, read some samples, and consider subscribing or buying an issue.

Thanks!

What other people have said about The Grackle:

"Geez." --Bill Griffith, author of Zippy the Pinhead.

"I have also found it to be useful in the bathroom to assist bowel movement." --Dan Dickhaus

semper incipe,
Amos Johannes Hunt

Taste... media... what a farce they are %)

The media can tell me all they want till they're blue in the face that baked bovine feces tossed over pene pasta with a light sauce of freshly made tomato basil vinagrete tastes good... But I still know it's cow crap, and refuse to eat it.

Good luck, fight the "good fight". ARrrr!

"...heartless pseudo-culture..." Aye Aye.

thanks

It's only too bad that they never actually get blue in the face. If they did, everyone would recognize them for the mindless s they are.

What? Smurfs aren't mindless. That's just silly talk. And, what the hell is a grackle?

Oh, blackbirds. How clever!

Your website doesn't seem to make any indication as to whether you're print or 'e', and how regularly you publish.

Good point! The only clear indication that it is a print magazine is the mention of postage on the "subscribe" page.

Any suggestions as to where I might add that information?

Thanks for your feedback.

On the front page.

GSG is a print mag appearing X times per year... or whatever. And pictures of covers is always good, it gives the reader and potential submitter an idea of the quality of your publication. Repeat it all on your subscription page - if i wanted to buy a sub I'd have no idea how many copies I was buying.
