Adams Media / Call for Submissions

Adams Media, Inc., publishers of A Cup of Comfort and The Rocking Chair series, is compiling a second anthology of stories, written as letters, for a new book titled Letters to My Mother, to be published in late 2006.

Letters to My Mother will contain true stories written by people of all ages—who celebrate the valuable lessons learned from the mothers in our lives. We have a limited contributor budget that permits a small payment for each published contribution, with $100 and $50 payments to the best contribution in adult and children’s categories. For more information, please visit us at:

The publisher has very kindly extended the deadline to June 1, 2006. We've received many lovely submissions, but we're still short of our goals. We have a tight deadline for this project, and the probability of your well written submission being accepted for publication is pretty darned good (really!).

Lonewoof, I had submitted a letter for Letters to my Mother and am wondering if this book is going to go forward. I was very happy having my letter in Letters to my Teacher. It's been quite awhile since I've heard from Barb & Rick. Sure hope they're alright. Can you let me know what's going on with their project. Thanks very much.
