how does this qualify as a 'writer's resource'?
as it seems to be an e-zine, would it not be more appropriately posted in the 'markets' section?

This sounds suspiciously like; visit my site and discover:
1) How to make your pen harder and longer!
2) Achieve longer writing sessions!
3) Develop more ink!
You get the drift...

In .. a.. war ( I can never remember when it happened and I'm too lazy to "google" it.) The British archers were superior to the French and so a great threat, when a British man was captured, archer or not I believe, the French cut off the two fingers an archer will use to draw back the bow to fire the arrow. When the British caught wind of what was happening they then started taunting the frnech and those that had fingers would hold them up as a signal of defiance to the French.
That's why when you swear with two fingers, it's only really offensive to the French.
Anyway sorry to hijack this thread my bad....

Kalibantre, then why is one finger more offensive than two?
Or should we leave well enough alone?
Interesting fact: forty years ago, a thumbs up was offensive in some places and a good sign in others (and I'm talking English speaking countries!).

I`m actually French Canadian and Native American, so I guess that means I both love and loathe bows? One or two fingers - it`s all good. Ahem...
