Who to go to for publishing short stories?

Who do I go to if I want to get a short story published? Say, 2300 words or so in length? I had thought about readers digest just for grins and giggles, but I'm not sure they'd take it.

you need to know your market better... rd doesn't do fiction so far as I know (it says no interest in fic in the writer's market)... research your markets - storypilot is ok, Duotrope is good, ralan too...
