publishing a bookling

ok, this thing i have isn't really a book. I will call it a bookling. It's not a novel and has no plot. But it's more like one of those little 4x4 books that has a sentence per page and maybe a picture every 5 pages or so. You see, I've collected all these hilarious quites from little 2 and 3 year olds that my friend is willing to illustrate. I'm trying to find a publisher that would publish this book for a reasonable price. I can't really find anything, but that may be because I don't know what a reasonable price is. Anybody got any thoughts?

you could send it to several lowkey, unknown publishers just started out and see who is willing and who gives the lowest fee. It would probably be a lengthy task, but unless someone here has tried the same thing you are attempting, thats probably the safest way.

you're looking for a printer, or vanity publisher, right?... not looking to sell the ms to a royalty publisher?...

if the former, google for self-publishing venues... but check preditors & editors first, for ones to avoid... should also do some research into what's involved in marketing and distributing your own books... it's not as easy as it may look to you now...

if the latter, your best bet is to check the little 'booklings' you see in the supermarket, or wherever, and see who puts them out...

also, have you gotten releases from the parents of all the little kiddles you are quoting?

thank you for all the replies. I shall take some time off during winter break and go through what you all have suggested.
