co-author needed

Yes, I am referring to the same subject mentioned in another post. I am still looking for a co-author for a project. It is a story that borders on sci-fi and fantasy: Not real high-tech, nothing to do with trolls and orcs and all of that.

I am interested in taking a group of select characters and subjecting them to extremes of all kinds. How much can a man take before he is no longer human? That is the main question.

Yes, it is an interesting idea and I'm sure there are a few people who are at least a bit curious now. I've changed my requirements, and I'm looking for imaginitive writers who are good with words. People who can write prose like poetry, with fluid imagery. I also want someone who understands people, and how they would react in real life situations. In order to deconstruct humanity, I need someone who understands their own basic instincts.

Now for the fun. Below is a discriptive paragraph I've written. If you are interested in joining this project, then read along, and follow the given instructions at the bottom. It isn't long, don't worry.

Description:

"A wide eye screams between my lips as raw hooks tear and shreak and puncture. Is this my mind in which the spiders cling, their talons mingle between web and hair; between heart and home?

"Is it my rage which splits the sky, and perverts nightand day into madness?

"Beyond screams and soul piercing needles; beyond the fetal torture and the facial recalls of bodies, of cities...a tree as old as its own arthritic roots holds life. From chaos and perversion--of mind, body, and soul--ideas are born. Is this the true thought?

"Then beyond this there is nothing but void filled with fragments, waiting to be formed into coherence, whether ideal or not.

"This bleeding landscape with torched sky and broken lips is all that is left: Madness coherent."
END

If you are interested in being a co-author, then all you have to do is interpret the above, and write a short story based on what you believe was described. Doesn't have to be long. Under 5,000 words. I just want to get a feel for each persons writing style. Email me what you get at AGlassThought@aol.com. or aglassthought@yahoo.com

Look forward to hearing from someone.

so, why did you start a new thread, if this is relating to the other one?

It's easier this way since my criteria has changed. Also, I think people are much more likely to read a new post rather than sift through two pages of commentary.

Sorry to be the critic again, but I fail to see why you need a co-writer?

You know what you want - the energy you've expended on trying to find someone to write with could have been used to write the story solo.

I want two points of view. There are two main characters and I want a seperate person to write for the other character. I do know what I want, but I also want to see what changes and growth the story has under the influence of another writer.

Nothing against it but it sounds very much like the Cenobites from The Hellbound Heart. I also have to agree with Mike C, if you know what you want the do it. I understand you would like to have seperate points of view but your going to get into "who's a better writer" if you have a co-author.

Rob is an unknown quantity at this point
You might want to correct the typos in your quotation, as they give a poor impression of your ability and may put off people who would otherwise be interested.

To be honest, I would come up with a better descriptive paragraph, too. Just a suggestion. The imagery is confusing in places. Again, it doesn't give a very good impression.

I wouldn't be tempted to write a story, up to 5000 words, just to please you. Maybe you would get more interest if instead you asked people to send you samples of their work, stuff they've already written.

Good luck, anyway.

Cheers,
Omni
