i'd strongly advise against going that route... they're in the 'not recommended' category on p&e:
Xlibris Corporation: "an on-demand publishing services company which makes it possible for everyone to publish and for every book to remain in print forever."
This information came from DREAM FORGE e-Maga-Weba-Zine ™. Not recommended.
here, you'll find a complete rundown on what to watch out for in pods, from 'writer beware':
http://sfwa.org/beware/printondemand.html
you should always check companies out on both sites, before even thinking of doing business with 'em... legit traditionaly publishers won't charge you a penny... the money comes from them
to you, not
from you to
them...
if your work isn't marketable enough to attract a paying publisher, the pods and other forms of vanity publishing may seem an attractive alternative, but it will cost you a significant amount of money, despite all their claims... and you'll have to do all the publicity, marketing and such on your own... plus, most will put out an inferior book that will be so overpriced, it will sell only to friends and family...
sorry to disappoint you, but that's the reality of the publishing business...
