Get paid to write reviews!
If you live in any of the below listed area codes, you are eligible to sign up at propinions.com to write 100-word reviews on local services provided. You receive $.50 for every original review (a service not yet reviewed with a complete address), and $.25 for every unoriginal (already reviewed or without a complete address) service. This is a review of stores offering services (i.e attorneys, beauty salons). You must also have a paypal account. If you decide to sign up as a result of this posting, I would greatly appreciate if you say that the username: doughbunny referred you to the site! It's a legitimate service with a moderately good payout for what is required.

sorry, but a quarter or a half cent per word is not a 'moderately good payout'... it's not even a moderately bad one... imo, compared to the going rates for freelance work, it's either an insult, or a joke...

I agree, this is what is called Copyrighting. To me, this would not be worth my while or anyones.

'copyrighting' is the protection of one's work under the copyright laws of whatever country one resides in...
if you meant 'copywriting,' such reviews of businesses could be called a form of same... and that's what freelance writers get paid much more than a quarter or fifty cents per 'job' to do...

Sorry, was writing quickly and meant to write copywriting and not copyrighting lol. At work, forgive me. Calls are coming in like the biblical flood.

Well, I'm legible.
But be reasonable. Who would do anything for $0.50?

It's good for just a little extra for minimal work, over time it pays quite well.

If I'm writing reviews for areas in my town, I have to take time to go there and look at it with the perspective of a critique. If you're looking for professional reviews, you'll have to pay more, because at the moment you're paying so little that I could make more money making Nike Shox in Asia.
It's too bad it pays so little; I'd be interested otherwise.

So, if I write 20 different reviews, I get ...what...$10?
Having to search out 20 different services, research them enough to write a (decent) review, spend the time writing them out, submit them and wait for a cheque...all for a whopping $10?
Even as 'pin money', the pay out is hardly worth all that time.

There's an ongoing set of threads on copywriting discussing rates at the digital point forums. The general opinion there is also that this kind of rate for writing work is damaging to the community in general and plays only into the hands of the emerging markets from the indian subcontinent or the unskilled writer looking for a cheap (very) buck. Such low rates devalue the skill and negatively impact the perceived value of quality written content.
