Hello, everyone! I'm looking for book reviewers, preferably with experience, to cover the latest literature from independent presses. This is a volunteer opportunity, but you get a free book out of the deal and a link to your website from your bio.

Your review would be published on Roots Literature, an online bookstore featuring the works of independent presses, which are often overlooked by bookstores. Your review will end up on the front page for a stint and then featured in the Roots Literature newsletter. It's a great way to get your name out there while helping a worthy cause by supporting literature that normally gets very little exposure.

I'm also looking for Press Editors to handle the content and inventory for one or more independent presses. If you're interested, click here to learn more.

Is it required that you have experience to be a book reviewer?

I would love to do it if experience is not a stipulation.

As long as you have some writing experience, I'm fine with writers taking their first shot at a book review. In fact, this is a great place to try your hand at book reviewing. And upon assignment, I'll provide you with some links to helpful guides on review writing.

I'm in the process of acquiring books from independent presses, so it may be a few weeks before I have books to deliver to my writers. However, if you use the contact form to let me know the type of books you'd like to review, I'll put you on my list of writers.

Also, if you've read a good book by an independent press lately, feel free to let me know the title, and there's a good chance I'll let you review it. Granted, you don't get a free book out of the process, but you still get the experience and a link to your website in the bio.
