Manuscripts

Is there a particular way manuscripts have to look?
Because I really don't want to have to go through my entire novel, doing little houskeeping details.
Just wondering.

well, fortunately for you, you don't have to. If you're using Microsoft Word, go to the Edit drop-down menu and select Find. Now a box should pop up with a textfield, and some sections at the top of the box. Click on the Replace section, and now there should be two text-fields in the box, one for Find, one for Replace. In the Find text-field enter a Period followed by one space, and in the Replace text-field enter a Period followed by two spaces. Now hit the Replace All button. Now all periods should be followed by a double space.

Also, if you don't want to divulge your email address you can check out the guidelines online at http://www.shunn.net/format/story.html (for short stories), and http://www.shunn.net/format/novel.html (for novels).
