Bylines Calendar 2007
The Bylines Calendar is inviting submissions for their 2007 Writers Desk Calendar.
The calendar has a page for each week, and each page features an author sharing his or her insights into the writing life.
They are looking for short personal stories about your life as a writer, plus an author's bio, for a combined total of 300 words. You can see some examples of what they're after on the website.
Submissions must be in by February 1st 2006. Successful writers will be notified in April, with the calendar on sale from September.
Payment: Those published will receive a copy of the calendar (with discounts on further copies), plus $5 (not much, but note that this is the first year that they've been a paying market at all).
But the exposure of having your bio in a diary used by writers and publishers alike must be worth a lot more than that.
