I'm about to mail off my first short story submission to a literary magazine today. So wish me luck. I imagine a month or so from now I'll begin to feel this mailbox anxiety many of you seem to be accustomed to.

no, no, meaning when I clicked on your profile to pm you, the option isnt listed for some reason. it occurred to me that there might be an ignore function or something, so i ran with that. nothing serious.

This thread is more "off topic" than a derailed speedtrain. The submission process isn't too bad for me. Even when I sent out roughly 120 submissions during the last run, I wrote and did other stuff.

I know what you mean I'm having trouble keeping up with my submission I submit each month without my email I couldn't remember where I submitted to but submission does take alone time to have someone to contact you about your work. But however to me the more you wait and check for emails and the mail everyday the more the submission takes long. That is what I think of the waiting process

Oh? How so?
I ask because the last person I saw that described their work as so controversial (as an excuse for not getting published) was because the work exceeded the limits of crap.
