Forums, Message Boards, etc. for Fan Fiction
WF is not a place to post fan fiction so here is a list of sites that do allow it.
fanfiction.net - Welcomes most types
MuggleNet Fan Fiction - Harry Potter
FictionAlley.org - Harry Potter
MediaMiner.org - Anime
SF-Fandom.com - Sci-fi and Fantasy
If anyone has a link to a good fanfic site, please feel free to post it here. Links that break the rules will be removed from the list.

This isn't a site where fanfiction can be posted, but it has a lot of good articles and other resources about the writing of fanfiction. Also, it has great forums.

Oops, sorry! I posted my link in its own thread. A mod can delete it if they wish.

We've got fanfic for Australian TV shows, as well as a place for poetry, and original fiction.

Does Writingforums.com allow original send-ups of the "mary-sue" genre of fanfictions, which don't follow any of the usual canons of fanfictions?

Clarify Fanfiction . . .
I know of a contest for writers to write about a world an author created that has prizes for the best entries.
Is this forum not the place to tell people about it or are you saying that you don't want to read stories written as fan fiction?

Hmm, quite a lot of links here, I only thought fanfiction.net was the only site.

On the subject of fanfiction, has there ever been instances where someone's fanfic actually gets picked up and made official? I'm speaking mainly of comic books. I've had an X-Men fanfic cooking for a bit, which is an original story (not part of the continuity), and considering all the spinoffs that get released by Marvel (much of it which reads like someone's fanfiction, Marvel Mangaverse especially), I was wondering if there was a chance mine could be picked up if Marvel approves of it?

Write a letter to Marvel and find out.
And Luc, all it takes is a search on Google.

Sci-fi and Fantasy are welcome at WF, abbsinthe, just not Sci-fi or Fantasy fanfiction.
We only allow original work here.
