Vantage Press
Hey guys!
I have heard of this cool publishing company in New York. It's called 'VantagePress' (if you have heard this messsge before, please delete it, otherwise, keep reading.
Well, if you look in the back of the phone book, you should see a lonely ad for Vantage press. If you don't, let me know and I'll get you the phone number and that code thing (It's for a free info packet.)
Bye!

This is only vanity press. They make you pay thousands of dollars to have your book "publihsed". If I were you, I'd stay away from them!

ditto!
i don't know why anyone would be touting this hoary scam to beginners, unless they're being paid to...
hopefully, you're just a young/inexperienced, gullible person who doesn't bother checking out things before endorsing them... either way, these vanity/subsidy presses are a blight on the writing world, taking advantage of the unwary...

mammamaia, if this were addressed to me, I would have been highly offended. I'd suggest attempting more tact in such instances, please.

Well, even though its worded a bit harshly, I do have to agree with mammamaia. They just prey on the gullable. Heck, I nearly got caught by them a few times when I was starting out.

to tbw:
i apologize for the 'harsh' tone of my response, but i WAS giving you the benefit of a doubt... if you WERE offended, please let me know, ok?

'hopefully, you're just a young/inexperienced person who hasn't realised you need to check out things before endorsing them'

I consider there to be a difference between honest opinions and belittling another member, but in this case I shall give you the benefit of the doubt.
