are these any good?
"Creating Fiction" Edited by Julie Checkoway

"Writing Clinic" Edited by Kelly Nickell

"Plot & Structure" by James Scott Bell

"How to Write & Sell your first novel" by Oscar Collier with Frances Spatz Leighton.

A friend of mine was asking me about these books, and wanted me to get some info. on them.
Have any of you all read these, and if so are they any good?

first things i'd check are the publishers [if they're pod or vanity-presses, chances are the books aren't worth 'following'] and the qualifications of the authors [if they don't have lots of experience in what they're writing about, i'd pass]...
