The Lost City Series

"You mustn't leave, for tis getting too late.

Mother please...for I cannot wait.
I need the answers...I need to know.
For I fear I don't have long, I have to go."

An advanced civilization where the inhabitants believe themselves to be better than the gods who created them, will be destroyed...Unless one young man, who is believed to be the key, can stop it from happening.

Fearing that his people has infuriated the gods, the young man leaves his home in search for the all-knowing oracle Tess, believing that she may have the answers to his questions.

When he finally reaches Tess, she tells him it is too late, the destruction of his world has already begun, along with the death of his family and friends. She then offers him a way to escape his soon to be fate, which he gladly accepts.

The "young sir", as Tess calls him, is suddenly transported into a time before the world he knows has been created. He then befriends a lovely, young woman, while trying to gain back all of his lost memories of his world. He is soon named Marco and falls head over heel in love with his new friend Maria.

Tess, being the all-knowing oracle that she is keeps a close eye out on him through his journey. She sends him shocking dreams to try and restore his memories so he may continue with his journey to save his land.

Once she finds out Marco has fallen in love she becomes furious saying:

"Love will blind thee of thy quest,"

Tess finally decides on tearing the lovers apart and bringing him back to the future, in doing this she causes his memories to be regained, in which he is now torn apart from his love for Maria and the love he is suppose to have for his own family in the future.

Tess knows she must send Marco back again, but to where, and how can one make sure that he won't gain amnesia again? Is he even the key to the purifying of his world?

Find the answers to all of these questions in the short series The Lost City found in the Poetry category of this website.

"For what's left to lose, the city of Atlantis is already lost?"

The series is not yet complete but it is unfolding itself quite nicely, and it shouldn't be too much longer for the other poems to be added to it and it be completed.
