I need an editor

I just joined the forum and I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I am looking for someone to proof my work. I have about 150 pages from the first book done.

Anyone out there have someone they can recommend? Also, should I go for someone local to meet with me or can it be done all on-line?

Thanks for all our help.

Joe

Maybe you could find someone on craigslist? I'm not sure where you are from, but it's just a suggestion.

what you're looking for is costly... are you prepared to pay the going rate for editorial services? [some current fees: $50/hr; $39 + 5 cents per word; $3-5/page]...

seasoned/experienced writers proofread and edit their own work... it's part of the 'job' of writing... no one should really need to pay someone to do it for them, if they can write well enough to sell their work...

if you can't afford it, and are not sure your work is polished enough to submit, i'll be glad to take a look at it and let you know what needs fixing, as it's what i do for all those i mentor [for free]...

love and hugs, maia
