WNRC Ezine
Starting in January 2005, the WNRC Ezine, from The Writer's Nook and Reader's Corner, will be paying $5 US for each story accepted.
We're interested in all genres, and more details can be found in our Submission Guidelines

Now this will attract the masses.
I'll see if I can get accepted, you do accept poetry right?

Yes, we do accept poetry. We had originally excluded pay for poems, but we're working on changing that now due to demand. We're basically choosing between two options:
1) We can pay $2 per poem, with the possibility of multiple poems in each issue.
or
2) We can pay $5 per poem, but only publish the single poem we feel is best each month. (Stories up to 7500 words receive the same amount, however multiple stories may be accepted for each issue.)
We're trying to be fair to both poets and storywriters, and we're hoping both of these options would do that. We are looking for input and will decide by next Thursday. Our guidelines will be modified this afternoon to reflect the pending status, then with next week's Thursday update we'll post the new guidelines with the final decision.

It will either be through PayPal or a money order through snail mail. While we prefer PayPal, especially for those outside the U.S., we'll go with whichever the author prefers.

I think the $2 per poem acceptance would be better to give more writers a chance to get payment for their poetry. I sent a horror short story to you titled "Branching Out." Hope you like it.

Okay, I'll send in a poem for you. PayPal is okay to use.

Susie,
Thanks for the story! Submissions close on the 30th and we'll be with you shortly after that.
Dexnell,
Thanks for considering us for your poetry!
Everyone,
Please remember that payment will only be for accepted stories and poetry for the ezine. We've decided to go with $2 for poetry so we can use more each issue, and stories remain at $5. Thanks everyone!

Thanks much, Tavon for letting me know you received my story. I'll also send in some poetry. I'll keep my fingers crossed you like it and much good luck with your ezine.
Happy Holidays, Susie

Yes, we had a major crash, but fortunately we're back up and running. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this caused. (It caused us plenty!)
The January issue is now out, and we're taking submissions for February.
Also, I believe Dawn is from this board. If you see this, please contact us. You're email address isn't working. Thanks!

It's a shame they don't accept screenplays Oh well I'm sure there is somewhere out there (other than lit.org) that does... I've been to a few other websites, but you have to pay $$$
