I've got a current project where the protagonist is a female who is not described as plus size nor is she said to have a good figure. So far, I've only illuded that she is not at her most ideal weight. She tries on old pants that don't fit well, checks out her figure in the mirror and notices she's wider than she used to be.... things of that nature. Is that what you're looking for?
