My writing contest is an open format contest.
Short stories, poems, generally anything.
First prize is an Apple iPod.
The entry fee is $7.

...double/triple/quadruple whoops!... you don't offer a link to your website... how are potential entrants to see what the heck you're referring to? 
... is this contest being held to obtain content for an e-zine, or just to enhance your personal collection, or what?...
...and, 'generally anything' can include ad copy, screenplays, or even erotica and porn, so you'd better think about setting some limits...
i suspect you've never done anything like this before, and have to wonder if you are doing it just to make money, since you give no info to the contrary...
...i'm sure others here would appreciate clarification...

It will be a NEW unit.
I've stated that it will be a new one.
I'm waiting to buy it until around the final month.
Why? Because apple keeps revising the thing, and the price keeps dropping.
It would be silly to spend $300 and then have the unit drop $100 in price while it sits on a shelf.
I'll try to make it clearer on the site.

In that case, I would hold off soliciting members until it is a fait acompli`! Thank goodness our members are not very gullible and are well aware of the scams that abound out there.
I surmise we are ALL from Missouri...we'll wait and see!
