Okay the contestants for this weekend's Short Story Write Off have been selected. We have two rookies to the Write Off, RiverWilde and Delgesu. Wish them luck and the stories will be posted late Sunday evening or early Monday morning.

Houston we have a problem.

Due to unexpected life difficulties, RiverWilde will not be able to compete in the Write Off. Delgesu has his story in, but without a competitor it's lying fallow in the mass of items awaiting validation. So basically I'm asking, who's gonna pick up the guantlet? All the rules are the same, simply add 1200-1500 words to the starter and complete the story in less than 36 hours. Any takers?

As everyone probably already knows the Short Story Write Off is now up and running, largely due to the 11th hour rescue by northrain. He's a vet of what 4 Write Off's in a row. I think that's a record. Mad props to him.

With all of that said, lets get some votes and some comments in on both these stories. I hope everyone enjoys reading them as much as I did.

Don't worry fellas I'll be commenting in the next few days. I always vote first and comment near the end.

The next Poetry Write Off is not too far away. I have a few people interested, but I need four total. As always if you're interested drop me aline at bartleby@lit.org.
