Lit.Org's Sunday Night Write Off
It's not a pay contest, but over at my other site, Lit.Org we have a semi regular contest called "The Write Off". Two writers get sent around 200 - 250 words to start a story with and then they must complete them and turn them back in. It's a short deadline and you are limited to 1500 words. It's a great challenge and the results have been great. The latest one was between myself and another staff member who goes by Bartleby. It was a great event. Check it out if you have time.

We have three warriors ready to do battle. Anyone else feel up to the challenge. This is the first time we've had more than 2 people duel it out in a write off. I'd like to see at least 1 more person sign up.

Mike, drop me an email or private message and I'll give you the details. We have 3 people so far and would love to make it 4! The write off is THIS sunday. The story stater goes out either late saturday or early sunday and you'll have until midnight sunday to finish it and submit it to lit.org.

hi!i just noticed that in the contest i didnt keep the 1500 words limit.Maybe i should get disqualifiied of something?it isnt really fair for the other writers.Anyway, sorry for any inconvinience ive caused.
I wanna be on the next write off too if its possible.

The 800-1500 is a guideline. If you go over 1500 and it helps your story, we'll give you kudos. If you go under 800 and your story is great, again, kudos. However, if you go over or under and your story stinks - well, then we'll hold it against you
