Debra Leigh Scott, founding director of Hidden River Arts, has issued a "last call" for submissions to the 2011 round of their Annual Fiction and Drama competitions for stand-alone unpublished fiction (up to 25 pages; ~ 7500 words) and unpublished full length play scripts. Deadlines for both are June 30.

Publication, public reading, and (US)$1000 are awarded to the winner in each category, and the competitions are open to all aspiring English language writers and playwrights anywhere in the world.

If you have a polished submission-ready manuscript, you can find the submission details and applicable guidelines at
Hidden River Arts
(Click on "Fiction & Drama Competition Guidelines").

Be aware that simultaneous submission is allowed, but acceptance by another publisher will preclude continued entry within the competition.

Also be aware that an entry fee applies for each submission - multiple submissions are allowed.
